Walnut Basil Pesto

Walnuts are a rich, healthy base for this delicious mouth watering traditional basil pesto sauce or spread, add flavor to any dish! —Kelli @Hungry Hobby

  • Serves 8
  • 2 cups walnut
  • 1/2 avocado, pitted and skinned
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
In This Recipe
  1. Combine walnuts, avocado, basil, garlic and cheese (or cheese sub) into food processor, pulse until meal forms.
  2. Add avocado, lemon juice and water and process until smooth. For a thinner consistency add more water, for a thicker spread add less water.
