Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup oats
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3 cups corn flakes
  • 1/2 cup rice crispies
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
Directions
  1. Heat the oven to 350°F. Beat butter and sugar together until fluffy. Add egg and mix well. Add milk and vanilla and mix well.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine flour, oats, baking powder, and salt. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Stir in the cereals, nuts, and chocolate chips.
  3. Scoop dough into 2 inch balls on a cookie sheet. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the tops are golden brown. Sadly, cookies need to cool before eating. They are definitely better after they cool than fresh from the oven.

I used 1/2 brown sugar, 1/2 white sugar, didn't have the corn flakes or rice cereal so I used 2C raisin bran and about 1/3C dried cherries as the mix ins. I also used a 1.5T cookie scoop, bare cookie sheet, and baked 22mins on convection. With these changes, these mini mookies were fantastic and I'm keeping my version to make again. I think the brown sugar was the biggest flavor improvement 😋

Decent enough...but in no way did they look like the picture above ...the don't spread out so it still looks like a ball.

I just made these and they are good but a bit dry. Next time I'll add more milk or decrease the corn flakes. I like the salty/sweet aspect. Also, I made 15 mookies instead of 12 and they seemed plenty big enough.

This recipe reads well, but it just didn't do it for me. Not good, not bad. Just....

These are baked in a muffin top pan? Is it greased?

Hi Melissa,

You bake them on a cookie sheet. I put down parchment paper, but didn't grease it.

Let me know how they turn out!
