Icecream French Toast

Author Notes: Came up with the recipe when I was low on milk and had no Vanilla. Makes about 4-6 pieces depending on the size of bread. Can be doubled for a larger group. DavidG

Serves: 2-3 people

  • 1/2 cup Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 dash Cinnamon
  • 4 Eggs
  • 6 Slices of bread
  1. Mix the Icecream, milk and cinnamon in a bowl with a whisk until it's like a milkshake and the cinnamon is blended in with the milk and icecream. In a separate bowl beat the 4 eggs with a whisk. Pour the eggs into the icecream mix then whisk the final result until blended. Pour the resulting mix into a shallow bowl. Let bread sit in the mix for 10 seconds then flip over the slice of bread for another 10 seconds.
  2. In a 10-12 inch skillet melt butter then fry slices until golden brown. then flip to cook the other side. Serve with syrup.
