Lavender chicken

I have a lot of lavender at the terrace, so i looked how ti use it :) —crispycris

What You'll Need
Ingredients
  • 4 pieces chicken breast
  • 12 pieces bacon
  • 12 pieces fresh lavender flower
  • 1/4 cup grated cheese
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
Directions
  1. Wrap the chicken breast with the bacon and put between the bacon and the chicken a lavender flower (3 bacon strips/3 lavender flowers per breast)
  2. Add the red pepper flakes, the grated cheese and the olive oil over the chicken. Let marinate for 2 or 3 hours
  3. Then to the Oven for 20 to 25. and serve.

Am I just not seeing an oven temp? Or should I guess?

Just be careful on what kind of lavender you use. I can't tell from the picture but it looks like lavendula stoechas (Spanish Lavender is what we tend to call it in the U.S.) and that kind of lavender isn't too healthy to eat. Use Lavendula Angustifolia to be safe.

Beautiful! I also use a lot of lavender on chicken--it is an overlooked choice.
