Bourbon Coffee Barbeque Sauce

Years in development - sweet and spicy. Jim Beam or Evan Williams bourbon work fine in this recipe. —buck

What You'll Need
Ingredients
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 cup coffee
  • 1 cup ketchup
Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Refrigerate leftover sauce.

This is the recipe that made me join Food52. We used it on a pork tenderloin on a cold winter's day during the Maryland "blizzards" of 2014. This rocks, Buck!
