Author Notes

Aperitivo, or a before-dinner drink, is an intrinsic part of life in Italy. Usually made with a bitter liqueur like amaro mixed with soda water or Prosecco, topped off with an orange twist, it's just the right thing for cocktail hour. For this version, I used Galliano L'Aperitivo. —Samantha Weiss Hills

What You'll Need
Ingredients
  • 1 ounce bitter Italian liqueur, like amaro
  • 3 ounces Prosecco
  • Orange twist, for garnish
Directions
  1. In a wine glass, pour in amaro and top with Prosecco. Garnish with a twist of orange zest. Add ice if you'd like it extra chilled.
