Author Notes

I'm a firm believer that most anything is good til the last drop. So when my pantry stock of nuts and seeds begins to look a bit lean, I take the crumbs, dredges, and bits and give them new purpose: to lend a toasty, salty, crunchy garnish to all of my other dishes, both savory and sweet. —Jr0717

Ingredients
  • 3-4 tablespoons Leftover nuts and seeds, whatever is on hand. Admittedly, my favorite combination of late has been a blend of walnuts, cashews, and pistachios
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt, if your goods are all unsalted to begin with
Directions
  1. Allow everything to cool, and pour into a coffee grinder. Pulse until finely ground.
  2. Taste, and add salt to your preference if necessary. Store in a spice shaker, and sprinkle liberally on....anything. Really.
