Author Notes: So I know that Avocado Toast is *trendy*, but this version is seriously good. It's inspired by Jessica Koslow's recipe in her cookbook Everything I Want to Eat, but adapted to be easier and more attainable. Oh, and you don't have to wait an hour and pay $10 or more for it at brunch.Look Cook

Serves 01

Garlic Yogurt

  • 1/4 cup greek yogurt – plain
  • 1 teaspoon garlic – minced
  • A pinches of salt

Avocado Toast

  • 1/2 large avocado – mashed
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon sumac
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 slice of bread – toasted
  • 1 radish – thinly sliced
  1. Make the garlic yogurt. In a small bowl, add the greek yogurt, garlic, and salt. Stir and then add more salt if needed.
  2. In another bowl, mash the avocado then stir in the lemon juice, dried oregano, sesame seeds, sumac, and salt.
  3. Toast your bread, spread on the avocado mixture, and add a big smear of the yogurt. Top with radish slices (optional, but looks pretty and adds crunch) and sprinkle with more sumac.
