Author Notes: Making your own almond butter (or any type of nut butter) is super easy. We use almond butter in quite a few of my recipes so we find making my own homemade version quite cost effective as we can make just as much as we need.

- 450 grams oasted almonds (or however many you need - this will make one large jar).
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract (optional)
- Add the almonds (or other type of nuts) to a food processor with the vanilla extract if using and blitz. Leave until you reach a smooth and creamy consistency. This could take 30 minutes, be patient and keep scraping the mixture from the edges of the food processor.
