Sassy Cranberry Sauce

Serves: 15

  • 6 cups fresh cranberries
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 orange, juice and zest
  • 1 pinch kosher salt
  1. Put all ingredients in a medium pot and bring to a boil over a medium-high flame. Lower the flame to medium-low and let simmer for 20 minutes, stirring frequently.
  2. Remove from the heat, let cool to room temp. Remove the star anise and cinnamon stick. Serve cool or room temp.
