Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 egg, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Directions
  1. In a medium-sized bowl, stir together the butter and coconut sugar. Whisk in the egg, vanilla extract, baking soda, and sea salt. Slowly stir in the flour until just combined (don't over-mix).
  2. Fold in the chocolate chips and refrigerate 20-30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 375 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Scoop spoonfuls of the dough onto the baking sheet about 2 inches apart from each other. Sprinkle sea salt on top of each, and bake for 12 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.
  4. Cool slightly before serving.
  5. Enjoy!
