Author Notes: Listen, I love Nashville style hot chicken and I also love southern style bbq sauce. So naturally, I feel as though these two things should reenact a scene from Basic Instinct. And personally, I have no problem with that.
Adjust the cayenne to turn the heat up and down, adjust the bbq sauce for tang and sweetness. ENJOY!

Serves: 3-5 lbs of meat

  • 4.5 tablespoons Cayenne
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 .5 teaspoons Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 3/4 cup Oil, Heated to 325 - 350F
  • 1/3 cup Your fave Mustard BBQ sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Honey
  • 1/3 cup Water
  1. Mix all dry ingredients together in a verrrrry heat safe bowl.
  2. Slowly whisk in hot oil. (This is the point where you will find out how important it was to use a heat safe bowl)
  3. Add bbq sauce.
  4. Add honey. Add Water. Mix.
  5. Slather allllll over any meat, fried or otherwise that you wish. I'd even rock it on Tofu.
