A delicious recipe for fluffy, buttery rolls that can be dinner rolls, or sandwich rolls made from scratch using a stand mixer. —Dash of Amy

What You'll Need
Ingredients
  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 1 tablespoon soft butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup organic sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon dry milk powder
  • 3 1/4 cups bread flour
  • 3 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
Directions
  1. Place all the ingredients except the melted butter in a stand mixer, or bread maker in order.
  2. For stand mixer turn to setting 2, and allow it to knead for 8 minutes. For a bread maker, place on dough setting.
  3. After 8 minutes, take dough out of mixer, spray the mixing bowl with cooking spray, shape the dough into a ball, and place back in the mixing bowl. Cover with plastic wrap or a towel, and allow to rise for 1 hour.
  4. After one hour, take the dough out and place on a surface sprayed with cooking spray.
  5. Shape into an oval and press down. Cut dough into 5 even strips, then cut each strip into 3-6 pieces, depending what size rolls you desire.
  6. Use your hands to shape each piece into a roll, and set onto a greased baking sheet.
  7. Brush melted butter on the top of each roll.
  8. Bake at 375* for 20 minutes.
