This will statisfy any chocolate lover. A dense chocolate muffin filled with chocolate chips and a hint of banana. —BerryBaby

Ingredients
  • 1-1/2 cups All purpose white flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Table salt
  • 1/3 cup Cocoa powder
  • 2 Very ripe bananas - approx 3/4 C.
  • 2 Large egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup White sugar
  • 3/4 cup Chocolate chips
Directions
  1. Measure and sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cocoa powder.
  2. In a separate bowl smash bananas, mix in oil, eggs, sugar, vanilla.
  3. Add dry ingredients to wet mixture. Mix until combined. Do not over mix!
  4. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Line a 12 serving muffin tin with paper liners.
  6. Fill tins 3/4 full.
  7. Bake 400 degrees, 15-18 minutes. Test with toothpick. When it comes out clean, remove from oven, cool on rack.

I have the same question as Carolyn Cuzzone....Baking soda? Baking powder? How much of each?

Baking soda is listed twice in the ingredient list and baking soda and baking powder are listed in the directions . . . can you please clarify? Thank you!!
