Super easy to make. Great crust and tender crumb. I used a hearty beer and a dark maple syrup for cooking, to maximize flavor, and the result was fairly mild. Tasted even better when toasted. This bread would be nice with stews and soups. I baked this for 45 minutes in a 9x5" loaf pan but will try an 8x5" loaf pan next time to get a taller loaf. I might also try adding herbs.
