Moist Banana Bread

This is the most amazing and easy banana bread. It has been in my family for years and anytime I make it people beg for the recipe. It is so moist, sweet, and delicious. Enjoy!! —Sydney Nags

What You'll Need
  • 1 cup unsifted, all purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon table salt
  • 1 cup mashed, ripe banana (about 2 bananas)
  • 2/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  1. Preheat oven to 350° F and spray baking pan with non-stick spray
  2. Stir together the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl
  3. Add in the mashed banana, mayonnaise, water, and vanilla. Beat ingredients together with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  4. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes- 1 hour until golden brown. A toothpick should come out clean. Eat right away or freeze up to 3 months

Not a bread at all, more like a cake, far too moist and sweetness overload. Will not be making this again.

This is an amazing recipe. I made it for my in-laws last week. They tend to be demanding and difficult to please. Much to my delight they loved this banana bread and had no criticism of it or me whatsoever. It has a delicious flavor, a wonderful texture and is very quick and easy to make. My new go to recipe.
