Jalapeno grilled cheese made with fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced jalapenos and tomatoes, toasted with garlic butter and served with green goddess dipping sauce. —PheNOMenal Phoods

Ingredients
  • For the grilled cheese
  • 4 shots slices sourdough bread
  • 2 tablespoons softened butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 pinch salt
  • For the green goddess dressing
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/4 cup basil leaves
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
Directions
  1. For the grilled cheese
  2. Stir together the softened butter, garlic and salt until combined.
  3. Spread one side of each slice of bread with the garlic butter.
  4. Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat and add 2 slices of bread, butter side down.
  5. Top with slices of mozzarella cheese, jalapenos and tomatoes and place remaining slices of bread on top, butter side up.
  6. Cook until golden brown, and cheese is melting, about 5 minutes. Flip and cook for another minute or two until the other side is golden brown, and the cheese is fully melted.
  7. Serve with green goddess dressing for dipping.
  1. For the green goddess dressing
  2. Combine all ingredients except the salt and pepper in a food processor or blender until smooth. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
