I have adapted this from the original recipe making the following changes/additions:
In place of linguine, I used angel hair; in place of cherry tomatoes, I used one 16 oz. can of diced tomatoes, undrained; I used 1/4 tsp. of red pepper flakes instead of 1/2 tsp.; and I added a one lb. boneless, skinless chicken breast, chopped in small pieces and 8 large fresh mushrooms, sliced. —Phyllis Morton

angel hair pasta

can diced tomatoes

chicken breast, cubed

large fresh mushrooms, sliced

onion, thin sliced

cloves garlic, thin sliced

1/4 teaspoon
red pepper flakes

sprigs basil, plus leaves for garnish

2 tablespoons
xtra virgin olive oil

salt and pepper to taste

4 1/2 cups
water
Directions

Combine all ingredients in large pan with pasta lying flat.

Bring to a boil and cook, stirring frequently about 9 minutes, or until pasta and chicken are cooked.

Garnish with basil leaves and Parmesan cheese
