Traditional Indian Rice Pudding made in less than 30 minutes.Super Quick and hands off method of making the Best Indian Breakfast Kheer! —yellowthyme

  • Prep time 2 minutes
  • Cook time 40 minutes
  • Makes 6
  • 1/4 cup Basmati Rice
  • 1 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 cups Whole Milk
  • 2 pieces Green Cardamom
  • 1 pinch Saffron
  • 1 tablespoon Slivered Almonds
  • 1 tablespoon Slivered Pistachios
  • 4 tablespoons Sugar
In This Recipe
  1. Wash the Basmati Rice and Add to a large pot along with the milk & Cardamom pods while stirring.
  2. Bring to boil, lower the flame and let it simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. Add the Sugar,Condensed milk & mix well.Cook for another 10 minutes till the kheer thickens.
  4. Garnish with the slivered pistachios and almonds.Serve hot to Chilled.
