What You'll Need
  • 6 slices Whole wheat bread or Artisan Bread.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 1/4 cups Whole milk
  • 6 Eggs
  • 1 package (10 ounces) frozen Spinach, thawed and well drained
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon Pepper
  1. Spread each slice of bread with the butter. Arrange the buttered slices in a single layer in greased 13x9 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with the cheeses.
  2. Combine the milk, eggs, spinach, salt and pepper in large bowl; stir together well. Poyr over bread and cheese.
  3. Cover tightly. Refrigerate at least 6 hours or its best overnight.
  4. Bake dish uncovered, at 350°F for 1 hour or until puffy and lightly browned.
  5. A versatile recipe; that you can add so many different foods to. In season fresh Tomatos are the best.
