Greek Recipe for Delicious Food:
Beans cooked in tomato sauce with potatoes and sausage:
Greek cooking is delicious besides being healthy, as mediterranean one, involving vegerable also, often fish, but also meat many times:
Above recipe:
INGREDIENTS:
1 kg fresh green beans
-Three big fresh tomatoes from groceries
Five small potatoes
Two sausages can be village hand made sausages, or porc ones
Salt, pepper, curry, one glass of red wine, and one teaspoonful sugar, an onion
PREPARATION:
We wash the beans first and leave them to shrink
We wash the tomatoes and blend them in blender so that they become sauce
-We also peel the potatoes, and cut them in small cubes
We cut the onion to very small pieces and we put it in a big casserole, to cook whole food in this case-along with olive oil as above (up to five spoonful), and let them start frying until they obtain a brown color.
We then add blended tomatoes as sauce, and after 3 minutes, at temperature round 170 C-200 C of stove, we add beans and start cooking, by adding salt and pepper to our will, and cook food for round twenty minutes.
Then we put sausages, cut to small pieces, having them rather half boiled first, any time before we start cooking whole food as above, rather than putting them raw. We turn stove to 150–160 C, or leave up to 170 C, and when food is half done, we add wine, curry and sugar in quantities above.
We turn off stove by leaving up to 10 min casserole on stove, and then we remove casserole completely.
Food is ready, and you can share with cheese any kind you prefer. If it’s summer time, you can also drinkg beer or Coca Cola, this quantity is for round 4 people.
