Shrimp sautéed in pungent garlic, ginger and honey sauce

Cooked shrimp smothered in delicious pungent sauce and quickly sauteed in a hot pan. This recipe is so easy to make and such a crowd-pleaser. Everyone will keep asking for more. —Cookingwithtatevik

What You'll Need
Ingredients
  • Shrimp
  • 12 medium shrimps, peeled and deveined
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 6 peppercorns
  • Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 garlic cloves, grated
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons grated lemon zest
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon Aleppo pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions
  1. In a bowl combine all of the ingredients for the sauce and set aside.
  2. Cook the shrimp in boiling water with bay leaf and peppercorns until the shrimp turns pink - about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Take the shrimp out, add to sauce and toss well.
  4. Sauté the shrimp in a hot skillet for about 1-2 minutes on each side.
