All-purpose flour

Kosher salt

White sugar

Unsalted butter

Vanilla extract
Directions

Whisk together milk and flour in saucepan over medium heat until mixture thickens and a paste forms. Approximately 5 minutes.

In stand mixer bowl, beat together butter, sugar, vanilla, and salt on medium-high speed until creamy, scraping at the sides as necessary.

Add milk-flour paste until mixture is light and airy.
