Canadians make everything with maple syrup. That sugar swap, plus a couple of small tweaks, take your homemade cranberry sauce from good to great. —Theresa Lemieux

  • Serves 12
  • 8 ounces fresh cranberries
  • ½ cups pure maple syrup
  • teaspoons sea salt
  • 1 pinch ground cloves
  • 1 zest and juice of an orange
In This Recipe
  1. Put all ingredients in a pot, and bring to boil over high heat. Put a lid on and cook over medium heat. When you no longer hear the cranberries popping, about 5 minutes, turn off the heat.
  2. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
