A scrumptious side dish of brussel sprouts, onions, bacon, and heavy cream, topped with bread crumbs and cheese. Perfect for Thanksgiving! —Dash of Amy

Ingredients

1 cup
onion, finely chopped

4 cups
brussel sprouts, stems cut off then quartered

2 tablespoons
olive oil, divided

1/4 cup
chicken broth

1 1/2 teaspoons
salt

1/2 teaspoon
black pepper

slices turkey bacon, cooked and chopped

1/2 cup
heavy cream
-
2 tablespoons
heavy cream

1/2 cup
Italian bread crumbs

1/2 cup
shredded cheese (Italian blend)
Directions

Add 1 tbsp olive oil and onions to a heated deep skillet.

Cook for about 3 minutes, then add the chopped brussel sprouts and another tbsp of olive oil and mix well.

Add the chicken broth, bring to a boil, and cook for about 5 minutes.

Add the heavy cream and bacon, cook an additional minute.

Transfer to a baking dish. Mix bread crumbs and cheese in a small bowl; sprinkle evenly over the casserole.

Bake uncovered at 400* for 15 minutes.
