I live in Florida and what better way to enjoy a nice sunny day than fresh fried fish? A crisp light fried fish with fresh lemon squeezed right before you serve and sip in ketchup and hot sauce... Well thats how I enjoy it! My Husband will dive in just for the fish because who needs extras. You decide your fav way to eat! —Tiffany Audia
Ingredients

Tilapia fillets ( cut in sizes you like to serve)

All purpose flour

Yellow corn meal

1 tablespoon
Old bay

1 pinch
Kosher salt ( regular salt works too)

Black pepper

1 teaspoon
Garlic powder

Bottle of oil to fry ( like Canola)

Directions

Heat oil in deep dish like dutch oven or any deep pan to fry so wont splatter on you. Heat to about medium high.

Prep batter : mix 2 cups all purpose flour , 2 cups corn meal, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 tablespoon old bay. Mix with hands...

Egg wash: Mix eggs with 1 cup milk and a dash or salt and pepper and whisk.

Now dip fish in egg wash, flour/cornmeal mixture, thrn repeat one more time. Egg wash and flour/cornmeal. Now that you did that twice. Carefully add to hot oil. And repeat until all fish added. You will cook about 3-4 mins each side when starts to brown flip and wait for same on other side. Then drain on paper towel on plate. And serve with some fresh lemon slices to squeeze over( optional )
