Boston Butt Roast Stew

This is a cheaper way to have a nice roast without the price tag of a beef roast. Boston butt roast or any nice pork loin roast or pork shoulder works great. —Tiffany Audia

Ingredients
  • 2-3lbs Boston butt roast or any roast cut
  • 1 Yellow onion
  • 2 tablespoons Garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons Onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons Brown gravy mix or 1 package of brown gravy mix
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup All purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons Canola oil ( any oil to brown meat)
  • 1 Bag of baby carrots
  • 8 Red potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
Directions
  1. Salt and pepper meat and cover with flour. Bring 3 tablespoons of oil to med high heat in a pan that is deep so wont splash grease on you.Brown meat about 2 mins per side.
  2. Now remove meat and add enough flour to cover and remaining oil in pan it shluld clump up and look dry. If looks wet add more flour. Now slowly add water and whisk until it makes a brown liquid this will be your gravy.
  3. Add meat and everything to crock pot and cook all 8 -10 hours.
