Author Notes
Take chili dogs to the next level! Take your favorite chili (with or without beans) and hot dog, top with homemade croutons, cheese, sour cream, avacado onions, and whatever else comes to mind. In the end, a mess free bowl of awesomeness, great for dinner or camp out.
Now when I make my chili, it's ground beef and small red beans (never canned!). My croutons are made from a baguette, seasoned with olive oil and a garlic herb mix. Hot dogs are usually kosher beef. Toppings are whatever I have in my refrigerator. Note that this meal can easily be made to meet lactose free, dairy free, vegan, vegetarian, or any other personal food need. Imagine how delighted kids and adults will be when they see this sumptuous meal! —Suzanne Leigh
