Author Notes
katleti is my favorite childhood comfort food. It's super easy to prepare and because of the herbs has a wonderful fresh flavor. Bread soaked in milk makes them super soft and moist. —Madona Giorgadze
Ingredients
-
1 pound
ground beef and pork
-
1/2
medium size yellow onion
-
1/2 cup
parsley and cilantro
-
2 pieces
white bread, soaked in milk
-
1
egg
-
salt, freshly ground black pepper
-
1 tablespoon
oil to fry
Directions
-
In a food processor, place the onion, egg, bread and herbs and pulse a few times. Add the mix to the meat in a bowl, season with salt, pepper, and using your hands, mix well.
-
Make oval shape 1/2-inch-thick patties.
-
Heat the oil in a wide skillet and fry them on both sides over medium-low heat. It takes about 3-4 minutes from each side. They are great served with mashed potatoes.
