Test Kitchen Notes
Bubbly and oh so refreshing, this tequila spritzer from Bay Area bartender Christian Suzuki-Orellana was *made* for summer sipping. Citrus really shines in this drink, complementing the spicy, toasty tequila. Fever-Tree’s Sparkling Lime & Yuzu packs most of the citrusy punch, with its tangy-sweet lime and floral yuzu flavors; it also brings the spritzer’s signature effervescence, along with some sparkling wine. For extra brightness, the tequila is first muddled with a makrut lime leaf for a quick infusion (save an extra for the garnish, too). A dash of strawberry liqueur rounds out the drink with a bit of sweetness, and is a great ingredient to keep on hand for when perfectly ripe strawberries aren’t available or quite in season yet.
