What You'll Need
  • 1 med-large cast iron skillet (or other heavy skillet)
  • 2 Filet Mignon steaks
  • 5-6 tablespoons Rosemary N' Garlic FLAVA' BUTTA (www.culinaryfusionarts.com)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  1. To get a really good sear on your steaks, be sure to pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. Heat the oil in the skillet over medium-high heat, until it begins to shimmer.
  3. Season both sides of the steak liberally with kosher salt (pepper is optional)
  4. Add the steaks to the skillet to sear one side.
  5. Place 1 tbsp of butter on top of each steak to melt.
  6. After 7-8 minutes, turn the steaks over to sear the other side.
  7. Add 2 tbsps of the Rosemary N' Garlic FLAVA' BUTTA to the skillet.
  8. Using a large spoon, tip the skillet and baste the steaks with the butter.
  9. When done, remove the steaks from the skillet and transfer to a cutting board to rest for 5-minutes.
  10. Place the remaining butter on top of the steaks.
  11. Slice and serve...delicious, juicy and tender.
