Test Kitchen Notes

You don't need any sugar, honey, or agave to sweeten this summer-perfect mocktail—just pineapple juice. When simmered on the stovetop for about 45 minutes (give or take), the pineapple juice thickens down into a syrupy, puree-like consistency and gains an even more intensely pineapple taste. It's bright, tropical notes pair up perfectly with LaCroix Sparkling Water's new Guava São Paulo flavor, which is fruity, effervescent, and tastes like a sunny beach day. A dash of coconut water brings coolness, while the lime wedge adds just the right amount of citrusy zing.
