This seasoned Meatloaf with Tomato Sauce is the ultimate comfort-food and a family favorite! 

Savory ground beef, seasoned with onion, bell pepper and Worcestershire sauce, topped with a sweet and savory tomato sauce.

Ingredients
  • Meatloaf Ingredients
  • 2.5 pounds Ground Beef
  • 3/4 cup chopped yellow onion
  • 3/4 cup chopped green bell peppers
  • 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • spray oil for baking sheet
  • Sauce Ingredients
  • 3 cups Ketchup
  • 1/3 cup Brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 teaspoon dried mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • salt, to taste
Directions
  1. Combine all sauce ingredients in bowl and set aside
  2. Lightly spray broiler pan with oil; set aside
  3. Lightly beat eggs in a small bowl; set aside
  4. Preheat oven to 375ºF
  5. Combine meatloaf ingredients into large bowl; do not overmix
  6. Place beef mixture on clean counter and shape into a loaf
  7. Place loaf onto prepared broiler pan (with drip pan underneath) and bake 30-45 minutes until internal temperature reaches 150ºF
  8. Once loaf has reached 150ºF, remove and spoon tomato mixture over the top; return to oven until internal temperature reaches 160ºF
  9. Remove from oven; tent with foil and allow to sit for 3-4 minutes; use a serrated knife to slice; serve with additional tomato sauce (optional)
