Ingredients
-
1 1/2 cups
all-purpose flour
-
1 tablespoon
matcha powder
-
1/2 teaspoon
baking powder
-
1/4 teaspoon
salt
-
1 cup
white chocolate chips
-
2 tablespoons
edible rose petals (optional)
-
8 tablespoons
softened butter
-
3/4 cup
white sugar
-
2
eggs
-
1/2 teaspoon
rose extract OR rosewater
-
1 teaspoon
vanilla extract
Directions
-
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a bowl, combine flour, matcha powder, baking powder, salt, dried rose petals (optional) and white chocolate chips. Mix thoroughly and set aside.
-
In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar with a whisk or electric mixer. Add in one egg at a time, whisking between each egg. Add the rose and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly.
-
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix with a silicone spatula until a dough forms. Knead the dough (it will be sticky.)
-
Using a cookie scooper, scoop 8-10 balls of dough. Flatten each ball to form the cookie and line on the baking sheet. Sprinkle dried rose petals on top of each cookie if desired.
-
Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes, then let cool.
