Author Notes

This is my version of Jake Cohen’s roasted garlic bread that went viral on TikTok in 2021. I know it has been many moons ago, but I just got a chance to try it.

My version includes a touch of thyme to add a hint of peppery flavor. I really love the addition of thyme, which I think really rounds up the flavor.

Each bite of this will give you the right amount of garlic flavor on a bed of crunchy baguettes. I only use 1 garlic bulb for this recipe, way less than his recipe. Honestly, the garlic flavor is subtle, but it is there. I want everyone to be able to enjoy this roasted garlic bread and eat a lot of it. Easily the best snack! —Devina | Dough Not Be Mad

  2. Preheat your oven again to 205°C/400°F and remember to soften your butter.
  3. Squeeze out the roasted garlic from its skin. Add the softened butter, salt, parsley, gochugaru, and thyme. Mix and adjust to your taste.
  4. Prepare the bread. Cut the baguette lengthwise or slice it in the middle into two halves.
  5. Spread the roasted garlic butter mixture on top of the bread and bake for about 5-10 mins. Please keep an eye on them and check for doneness after 5 mins. If they aren’t crispy enough, bake for 1 more min and keep checking on them until you get your desired crunchiness.
  6. Let it cool for just about 5-10 mins so it doesn't burn your mouth when you eat it. Cut them into smaller pieces and enjoy!
