Ingredients
- For the cocktail:

1 1/2 ounces
Patrón Reposado

3/4 ounce
pineapple and sage syrup

3/4 ounce
freshly squeezed lime juice

Jarritos Grapefruit Soda, for topping

Fresh sage leaves, for garnish

Fresh pineapple wedge, for garnish
- For the pineapple and sage syrup:

1/2 cup
fresh pineapple juice
-
1/2 cup
granulated sugar

1/2 cup
fresh sage leaves, packed
Directions
- For the cocktail:

Add all the ingredients—except the grapefruit soda—to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake to combine, about 10 to 20 seconds, then strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Top with the grapefruit soda.

Garnish with fresh sage leaves and a pineapple wedge, and serve.
- For the pineapple and sage syrup:

To a small saucepan, add the pineapple juice and granulated sugar. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves. Once the syrup reaches a simmer, turn off the heat.

Add the fresh sage leaves to the syrup, gently pressing down to submerge in the mixture. Let the sage infuse for 30 minutes.

Strain the mixture into a heat-safe container (discard the spent sage) and let cool completely. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
