This loaded mashed potato casserole is the perfect all-American starchy side dish. I mean, who doesn’t love dinners with mashed potatoes? This is a mix up of a loaded baked potato added into some homemade mashed potatoes loaded and baked with sour cream and cheeses. Directions

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Peel and cube your potatoes. Wash them off very good for several minutes in a colander. Place them in a large pot and boil for about 15 minutes or until tender.

Place the tender potatoes in a large bowl. Mash with the end of a whisk or a potato masher. Add in the sour cream, heavy cream, 1/2 cup of shredded cheese, bacon bits, green onions, melted butter and spices. Mix well. For best results, use an electric hand mixer.

Pour the mixture into your casserole dish. Top with the remaining 2 and 1/2 cups of shredded cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for around 25-30 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve hot and enjoy!
