Directions
- Korean BBQ Sauce
-
Combine all ingredients for the Korean BBQ sauce in a blender of food processor, and pulse until smooth. Alternatively, finely mince all solid ingredients and combine by hand.
-
Set aside.
- Tofu Sticks
-
Combine flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and Cilantro in a small bowl. Thoroughly mix eggs in separate bowl.
-
Cut block of tofu into 12 sticks, and pat each stick completely dry with paper towels.
-
Toss tofu sticks in flour mixture, then eggs, then flour mixture a second time. Pan-fry sticks over high heat in a wide pot, flipping until all sides are brown and crispy.
-
Let fried tofu sticks drain on a wire rack, and drain remaining oil from the pot.
-
Stir the Korean BBQ Sauce mixture to ensure nothing has settled to the bottom, and add it to the pan that has been drained of oil. Bring to a simmer, then add the fried tofu sticks. Stir gently until sauce has thickened to your liking.
-
Serve tofu sticks over rice, sprinkling heavily with sesame seeds.
