Author Notes
This is an old recipe that is the favorite of everyone who tries it. I’ve shared it with countless friends who tell me it’s the marinade they use the most with steak. It’s great on tips, flank or skirt steak. It may also be terrific on pork or chicken, though I’ve not tried it.
I find it easiest to buy the meat in bulk, multiply the recipe several times and freeze individual servings. The meat is somehow tenderized in the freezer and, if you take the meat out in the morning, it’s ready to go at dinner time. —Happygoin
Ingredients
-
1/4 cup
Soy Sauce
-
1/4 cup
Honey
-
1/4 cup
Orange Marmalade
-
1 tablespoon
Rice Wine Vinegar
-
1/2 teaspoon
Red Pepper Flakes or to taste (Opt)
-
1 pound
Beef Tips, Flank Steak or Skirt Steak
Directions
-
Mix soy sauce, honey and marmalade together. You might find it easier to microwave these for 10-15 seconds to soften the honey and marmalade. It makes mixing easier.
-
Add the vinegar and red pepper flakes. Marinate the meat for at least an hour, then grill over medium-high heat. Keep an eye on it as it will burn if the heat is too high.
