Ingredients

can chickpeas

1/2 teaspoon
Baking soda

Juice of 1 1/2 large lemons or 2 medium lemons

pinch of salt to taste

5 tablespoons
Tahini
-
1
clove garlic
-
1/2 teaspoon
cumin (optional)

1.2 teaspoons
smoked paprika (optional)

1/4 cup
ice water as needed

olive oil for serving
Directions

Add drained chickpeas and baking soda to boiling water and boil for about 5-10 minutes until skins begin to fall off. Let cool

Once cool, pick through with hands or strainer and remove as many of the skins as you have the patience for.

Add chickpeas and all other ingredients except water to food processor and blend.

Drizzle in water by a couple of tables at a time until you achieve a creamy texture.

Serve with a drizzle of olive oil on top
