I served this at a dinner party and no one believed it was vegetarian. It is so flavorful, creamy and smooth (lump free). The tip for ultra smooth gravy is to use a beurre manie. Use our homemade mushroom stock for this recipe. —ChezUs

Ingredients

4 tablespoons
unsalted butter, room temperature

4 tablespoons
all purpose flour

4 cups
rich mushroom stock from Chez Us
Directions

Mix together butter with flour to form the beurre manie.

Place the mushroom stock in a large, shallow frying pan.

Whisk in the beurre manié until smooth, then switch to a wooden spoon and continue stirring until thick, about 10 minutes

Season to taste with salt and pepper.
