Take your favorite shady into the wintry season with just a few simple swaps. All you need is your favorite beer, blood orange juice, and the Stanley Adventure Happy Hour Cocktail Shaker Set. For a shandy that is full-bodied, but still the refreshing cocktail it’s known to be, opt for a heartier pilsner given the season. What You'll Need
Ingredients
  • For the sage simple syrup:
  • 3 ounces sugar
  • 1 bunch fresh sage
  • 3 ounces water
  • For the cocktail:
  • 4 ounces blood orange juice
  • 1 pinch kosher salt
  • 1 ounce sage simple syrup
  • 1 (12 ounce) can pilsner
  • Blood orange wheel, for serving
Directions
  1. For the sage simple syrup:
  2. Combine the sugar and water in a pot. Boil on medium-high until the sugar has dissolved, about 6 to 8 minutes. Add the sage and set aside to full cool.
  1. For the cocktail:
  2. In your Stanley Adventure Happy Hour Cocktail Shaker, combine the blood orange juice, simple syrup, and salt. Dry shake (without ice) to combine.
  3. Strain between two Stanley Pints. Top with half the beer. Serve with a blood orange wheel garnish.
