What You'll Need
Ingredients
  • For the Turkey Meatballs
  • 1 Ground Turkey
  • 1/4 cup Finely chopped red onions
  • 2 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried mint
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • olive oil for cooking
  • For sweet potatoes
  • 2 medium sweet potatoes cut into fries
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
  • salt and black pepper to taste
Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Add your sweet potato fries to a bowl with water and ice. Leave it for 15 minutes. Remove it and pat it dry.
  2. In a large bowl, toss sweet potato fries with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Spread them in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the sweet potato fries are golden and crispy, flipping them halfway through.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, red onion, minced garlic, oregano, mint, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1-2 inches in diameter.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the turkey meatballs for about 10-12 minutes, turning them to ensure even browning. Cook until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Optional: In a bowl, mix together Greek yogurt, grated and drained cucumber, minced garlic, fresh dill, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
  6. Plate the Greek turkey meatballs alongside the sweet potato fries. Optional: Serve with a dollop of tzatziki sauce on the side or drizzled over the meatballs. Optional 2: Add crispy onions on top.
