Found an easy way to bake with the famous ancient grain called millet. This particular recipe was developed by Chef Juls in her commitment to support SDG goal 12 through efficient use of domestic grains available in her community. Millet is a superfood and finding a way to bake with it helps power up any baked goods recipe it is added. Enjoy this quick and easy to bake Millet bread —Juls

Ingredients
  • 710 grams Chef Juls Bread Mix
  • 80 grams Melted Butter
  • 30 grams Yeast
  • 285 grams Cold Water
Directions
  1. In a large bow, combine water, melted mutter and yeast with Chef Juls' Millet bread mix.
  2. Mix thoroughly until a sticky dough is formed
  3. Move to a clean surface and knead for about 5-7mins till dough is stretchy and elastic.
  4. Cut dough into two portions and form into a 6x4 inch loaf pan
  5. Let it proof for about 40-50mins depending on how warm your kitchen is or until it doubles in size
  6. Bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 25minutes.
  7. Remove from pan and let it cool sightly.
  8. This recipe bakes two 6x4 inch loaves. In Nigeria, we serve it with "ëwa aganyin" which is a savoury bean porridge topped with fried palm oil peppered stew. Enjoy!
