Ingredients
-
1 cup
Fruit Juice
-
2 tablespoons
Sugar
-
3 tablespoons
gelatin
-
1
Silicone Mold
Directions
-
Begin with your favorite fruit juice-clear juices like apple or grape are great for a translucent treat, while berry juices give it a richer color and taste. You may add sugar into your juice and mix until dissolved if you want.
-
Sprinkle the gelatin on the chilled juice in a saucepan and let it rest for about 5 minutes. The step known as "blooming" enables the gelatin to melt out immediately and without lumps.
Pour the saucepan over low heat, and stir gently until the gelatin has dissolved fully. Don't let this mixture boil because boiling at high heat makes the gelatin not gel.
-
Pour off the heat when it becomes smooth and liquid. Use a spoon or dropper carefully to fill up your silicone molds. Since silicone molds are quite versatile in many shapes and sizes, you can be very creative in making different forms, ranging from simple cubes to a very detailed design.
-
Transfer the molds to the refrigerator and chill for at least an hour. This will help let the gummies set and include the exact shape in your mold.
Once they are done, take the gummies out from the mold carefully. They must be firm but soft, bright-colored, and full of flavour.
