It gets its bright color from Brooklyn-based ceramics artist Aziza Mirzan, who dipped it in not one, but two different glazes (robin’s egg blue and papaya). Take a close look at the middle, and you’ll see a small sliver of raw clay peeking through—a lovely reminder of what this handmade vessel once was.
