Xs and Os.

Behold: a ceramic mug so eclectic—and so museum-worthy—we’d be hard-pressed to name just one thing we love. Handmade in Brooklyn by artist Josephine Heilpern, it’s got a quirky, geometric design on the outside. And on the inside? A speckled glaze that’s not only easy-cleaning but sure to jazz up your drink too. After all that, the purple rubber glaze on the handle gives it just the right touch (literally and figuratively).

It’s the event we wait all year for: We teamed up with 52 ceramicists—that’s right, 52—to bring you a whole medley of handmade mugs, each one as unique as its maker. They’re exclusively here, only for a limited time.

Meet the Maker

Recreation Center

Brooklyn, NY
Prettily patterned, hand-thrown tableware, right this way. Artist Josephine Heilpern started Recreation Center in Brooklyn back in 2012 and has been making magic ever since. Rumor has it she makes lava lamps too, and after seeing her fanciful style, we’re not the least bit surprised.
