This may look like a raw-clay butter keeper from the outside, but we’ll let you in on a secret: It has a Midnight Blue, glossy glaze on the inside. It was handmade by the folks at Sawyer Ceramics, based in San Diego. To get the butter-spreading going, just add a little water to the base, then add the good stuff to the top. It’ll create an airtight seal and keep that golden goodness soft. (Just be sure to swap in fresh water every two to three days!)
