There's not much this tool can't do -- pound out chicken into paillards, tenderize meat, smash garlic, and more. The heavy metal piece comes with 3 interchangeable attachments: a smooth surface (cracking shells, crushing nuts and bread crumbs, pounding cutlets), a medium coarse surface (tenderizing steak, adding texture to meat to help with breading), and an extra coarse surface (tenderizing thicker cuts of meats like chops, preparing cube steak).

One more thing to love about it -- tenderizing your meat with this tool makes marinades and sauces penetrate more deeply for especially flavorful finished dishes.

Care & Notes

Disassemble handle from attachments and place all metal parts in dishwasher. Clean the bamboo block with soap and hot water. Air dry.
