The French know copper cookware.

We like cooking even more than usual when we use copper pots -- pretty, sturdy, and quick to heat up, they win points in all cooking categories. This French hand-hammered heavy gauge saucepan from c.1880 features steel iron handles held by three hand cut copper rivets. The iron flanges are hand cut almost to resemble a flower -- a beautiful signature design of the maker, Allez Freres. Both the pan and lid are stamped with “ETABLISSEMENTS ALLEZ FRERES PARIS” as well as "PARIS" and the number "19" to the lid.
